Kartik Aaryan has spoken a little Bengali in his latest hit horror-comedy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
Besides his fine acting skills, Anirban Bhattacharya is also known for his clear Bengali diction. While the actor is rarely seen on social media, he has recently pointed out that Kartik Aaryan has mispronounced a Bengali word in his latest horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The superhit film that also features Kiara Advani has Bengali dialogues for Kartik Aaryan. The actor has mispronounced a word there and as a result, Anirban took to Twitter to rectify him.
In the film, Kartik’s Bengali dialogue includes the word, agamikal (tomorrow). The actor pronounces it as ‘agamikol’. That is what Anirban points out on social media. Taking a cue from Kartik’s latest Instagram post on new car, Anirban wrote, “Hello friend @TheAaryanKartik Congratulations for your new car/Chinese food table. Just remember 'tomorrow' is not 'kol' or 'call' in bangla. It's 'kaal' (sic),”
Anirban’s Tweet has literally shocked his followers. While some of them supported the actor for defending Bangla, many others criticised him for finding faults unnecessarily. One user wrote, “Is kartik bengali? - no did he write the script - no wasn't there any interpretor? - definitely yes but we will put every blame on Kartik instead, bcz he was the one to act in the film, despite finding out the correct pronunciation is not his job. keep going guys (sic).”
Meanwhile, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has crossed Rs 200 cr collection at the box office. Kartik Aaryan has recently commented that while the team was confident of commercial success, they did not expect it to cross Rs 200 cr. Released on May 20, the Anees Bazmee directorial is currently streaming on Netflix. The horror comedy also feature Tabu in one of the key roles.
Meanwhile, Anirban has recently completed shooting his directorial project Ballavpurer Roopkatha. Based on Badal Sircar’s play, this is Anirban’s first feature film. Earlier, he directed Hoichoi’s original series, Mandaar.
