Netflix released a new trailer of the anime series Baki Hanma on Thursday, revealing that the series will be streaming exclusively on the platform this fall. The release of the series lands just in time for the 30 year anniversary of the popular manga. The trailer released features Baki having a tough fight against a variety of opponents that even include supersized praying mantis. The highlight of this series, however, will be Baki going one-on-one against the ogre Yujiro Hanma, the strongest fighter in the world and also Baki's father.
Baki Hanma is the fourth instalment in the Baki anime series streaming on Netflix after Season 1: Part 1, which premiered in 2018, Season 1: Part 2, and The Great Raitai Tournament Saga. Nobunaga Shimazaki will reprise his role as the voice behind the lead character Baki Hanma. The anime series is based on Keisuke Itagaki's popular manga Baki the Grappler which was first released in 1991 in Weekly Shonen Champion. The release of the fourth instalment on Netflix in the fall of 2021 will mark 30 years since the release of the manga.

To mark the 30-year anniversary of the popular manga, Weekly Shonen Champion, which first released the manga, is even hosting a creative contest, with submissions open for illustrations, videos, cosplays, photos and other fan art that will be judged by creator Itagaki himself. It is also anticipated that the final release date of the anime series will also be revealed on the official website of Weekly Shonen Champion during the contest.
