Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, and Bobby Deol starrer Animal made over Rs. 920 crore at the box office worldwide and became one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of 2023. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga the film revolves around the narrative of a father and son toxic relationship. One of the songs from the film featuring Bobby went viral thanks to the actor's unique dance step. In a recent interview, the actor revealed his inspiration behind the dance step.

Bobby Deol recently revealed that the inspiration behind the viral Jamal Kudu dance step came from his childhood visits to Punjab. He said that he would watch men balance their glasses and bottles on their heads while dancing to music. This is one of the memories that the actor reveals that inspired him behind the viral step.

“I still remember when I was shooting for the sequence. Sandeep narrated the scene to me and he said, ‘This is your wedding and you have to dance.’ I said, ‘I cannot dance with a choreographer’ and I started dancing. He said, ‘Cut, I don’t want my character to look like Bobby Deol, I want it to look like Abrar.’ I thought to myself, ‘What do I do now?’ So I went to Saurabh Sachdeva, the actor who played my brother in the film. I asked him, ‘How would you dance?’ and he started dancing and suddenly I don’t know what happened to me, all these memories from all times started to occur to me," Bobby Deol told SCREEN.

For the uninitiated, Bobby Deol played a mute character in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal. Audiences loved his performance as a villain even though his screen time was very less.

On the professional front, Bobby will be next seen in Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan's directorial debut series Stardom.
