When asked how he nailed the bullet-loaded war machine scene in the film, Ranbir Kapoor said, “I remember the first time Suresh (Selvarajan; Production designer and art director) anna showed us the bike and the gun... (takes a deep breath) … a war machine, I was shocked. He created it from scratch. It is such an original piece. It was a great idea that Sandeep (Reddy Vanga; filmmaker) and Suresh anna had.”
“Also, as an audience you must know, when we are acting for movies, we are not shooting with actual guns. We have to pretend, imagine... (hand gesture of a gun)… that if we are operating a machine so large, what would that do to our body, our ears because we have to keep shooting for hours. I really had to imagine that because the bullets were coming under siege, they were not real. That is the magic of movies,” Ranbir said.
The Brahmastra (2022) actor wrapped up by saying, “But I must say that the idea was so fascinating, and the creation was so amazing that I feel lucky to know that I have an image of shooting a gun like that.”
