The film also features Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director, requires no introduction. The filmmaker who made a splash with his debut directorial, Arjun Reddy and created a far bigger smash with its remake, Kabir Singh, will team up with Ranbir Kapoor for the first time with Animal. On behalf of T Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, Bhushan Kumar and Pranav Reddy Vanga will produce the film.
Animal is the film's enormous and forceful title, which, of course, symbolises the protagonist's tough nature. Sandeep Reddy prepared a first-of-its-kind and prospective subject, well aware of the high expectations. Ranbir will be seen in an entirely different role. The actor did, in fact, get a makeover for the film.
Animal billed as an action entertainer, went on floors today with a puja ceremony. The regular filming of the film began today in the Himalayas. The film is a pan-India initiative that will be launched in Hindi and all South Indian languages.
The unusual pairing of Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga has already sparked interest in the film, which also boasts several notable performers, namely Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna in key roles. The Pushpa actor has replaced Parineeti Chopra in the film.
Earlier, during an interview, RK had spoken about being a part of Animal. He said that during the pandemic, everyone had some time to reflect and select films that were meaningful to them. So when Sandeep told the story, the actor felt a strong connection to the character and knew he wanted to play him.
Ranbir is a tremendous fan of both of Reddy's films, and I am looking forward to working with him on something new. The actor added that Bhushan Kumar is one of the producers who support strong, enjoyable films, and his vast musical knowledge will be on display in Animal.
RK is incredibly fortunate to be able to work with such a fantastic ensemble cast, and he's excited to begin filming for Animal.
The film's various crafts will be handled by top-notch technicians, and it will be released in theaters on August 11, 2023, during Independence Day weekend.
