After opening with the blockbuster first day at the box office, Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal is all set to impress with the second day of business.
Ranbir Kapoor-led Animal is looking better after releasing with a Hindi opening of Rs 52.50 crore. Early trends indicate that the Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directed film, with estimations between Rs 58 and Rs 60 crore, increased by 10 to 13 percent on Saturday.
Animal surpassed Pathaan's first-day collection
In terms of opening day receipts both globally and in India, Animal surpassed the collection of Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan at the box office. The film also surpassed Pathaan, which generated Rs 104.80 crore worldwide on its first day of release, with a total of Rs 116 crore.
The Ranbir starrer is expected to have an even greater second day of business after collecting 63.80 cr all over India. The crime epic directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga has already made 51.29 cr as of now, according to Sacnilk.com. It's unclear, though, if Animal can surpass Pathaan's second-day sales. Day two earnings for Pathaan were Rs 70.50 crore, while Jawan earned Rs 63.50 crore after earning Rs 75 crore on the first day.
Will Animal break the record and become the biggest weekend opener?
In just two days, the movie became the third Hindi-language film to reach the 100 cr mark in this short amount of time, after Pathaan and Jawan. If the weekend's collection rises as anticipated, the movie could have the greatest opening weekend ever. Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan currently holds the record for the biggest weekend collection.
