Animal box office collection Day 1 — Ranbir Kapoor gets his biggest opener; earns ₹63 crore

Ranbir Kapoor's film Animal is off to a fantastic start at the box office. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial minted ₹63 crore on day one.

Ranbir Kapoor's movie Animal has set the cash registers ringing. The film, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has taken a monstrous start at the box office. The official day 1 box office figures are out. It has been confirmed that the Ranbir Kapoor starrer minted ₹63.80 crore at the ticket window. Interestingly, Animal has shattered Pathaan's opening day record of ₹57 crore.

Also starring Rashmika Mandanna, Animal has turned out to be a money spinner at the box office. The film, which sheds light on a father-son relationship, shattered SRK starrer Pathaan's record. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the official BO figures on Instagram.

The movie has collected ₹63.80 crore on day one at the box office. On the other hand, it took a monstrous start at the global box office with a collection of ₹116 crore.

Animal vs Sam Bahadur box office collection

While Animal opened at ₹63.80 crore, Vicky Kaushal's Sam Bahadur was off to a decent start. It managed to mint only ₹6.25 crore at the ticket window. Despite a decent opening, Sam Bahadur trails behind Ranbir Kapoor's film.

About Animal

Apart from Ranbir and Rashmika, the film stars Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor. The film, helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, features Ranbir as Ranvijay Singh. On the other hand, Anil plays the role of his dad, Balbir Singh. Rashmika is seen as Ranbir's love interest in the movie.
