Animal actor Bobby Deol opens up about his role in Kanguva; says it is a pleasure to work with Suriya in the film

Bobby Deol, who was last seen in Animal in a negative role, is set to make his Tamil debut with Kanguva. The actor recently revealed that his role in the Suriya starrer is out of his zone.

Bollywood actor Bobby Deol is currently on a high with the excellent box office performance of his latest outing, Animal. The actor, who played the lead antagonist Abrar Haque in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer, is now gearing up to make his debut in the Tamil film industry with Kanguva. In a recent interview with a leading media outlet, Bobby Deol opened up about his role in the Suriya starrer.

The senior actor, who confirmed that he is indeed a part of the upcoming period drama, revealed that he has already started shooting for his portions in the film. “I’m currently doing Kanguva with Suriya. It is an amazing team,” added Bobby Deol, who showered praise on co-star Suriya and director Siva. “Suriya is an amazing actor and so dedicated. It is a real pleasure working with him,” stated Deol, who added that director Siva is a "sweetheart".

Bobby Deol’s role in Kanguva

In the interview, the Animal actor also admitted that the role in Kanguva is out of his comfort zone, especially because he is new to the Tamil language. He also added that learning Tamil in one or two months is practically impossible, which made the role all the more challenging for him.

Suriya, the lead actor, reportedly plays five different roles in Siva's period film. The first teaser of Kanguva, which featured the National Award-winner in the get-up of a tribal king, had gone viral on social media. Disha Patani plays the female lead in the movie, which reportedly features Bobby Deol as the lead antagonist.
