Anil Kapoor’s Subedar to release on Prime Video, actor reveals about the preparations he underwent for the role

At a recent event held by Prime Video, it was revealed that Anil Kapoor starrer Subedar to be released soon on the OTT platform

If there is one actor who is busy giving all the young actors a marathon run for their money, then it is none other than the veteran actor Anil Kapoor. The list of his upcoming films can easily put any newcomer to shame. Amongst the many releases that Anil Kapoor has got in the months to come, there is 'Subedar’.

Anil Kapoor's Subedar to be directed by Suresh Triveni

Speaking about Subedar, the film will be directed by Suresh Triveni, who earlier directed the Vidya Balan starrer Tumhari Sulu and Jalsa. The news had first appeared on the Variety website, which had quoted Anil Kapoor stating that he had done a lot of action films, but this was a pure action film… a dramatic action film, in his exact words. He had added that he was very excited about it.

Anil Kapoor talks about his prep for the role in Subedar

Today, at the grand event organised by Prime Video, it was revealed that the film ‘Subedar’ will be released on the said OTT platform. When asked by the event’s host Varun Dhawan about the preparation that had gone into the role, Anil Kapoor said, “When you have a fantastic filmmaker like Suresh (Triveni) and a fantastic team, the prep becomes easier and a lot of fun. So, for me, Subedar is going to be a lot of fun”.

While referring to the film’s promo as a ‘sizzler’, Anil Kapoor said that Suresh had shot the same in a few hours. And, it has come out so well. The most important thing is to not to take yourself so seriously. So, I am not going to take myself so seriously. I am just going to go out there and have fun”.

As for the film, the production company is Abundantia Entertainment, Opening Image, Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network Pvt. Ltd and the producers being Vikram Malhotra, Suresh Triveni, Anil Kapoor. The film has been written by Suresh Triveni and Prajwal Chandrashekar
