The film stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Jamie Foxx, Willem Dafoe and Alfred Molina among others
Spider-Man: No Way Home offered one of the biggest surprises that Spider-Man fans could ever hope for. The film featured (spoiler alert) the return of two popular spidermen of the past: Tobey Maguire, who went down in history after portraying the first live-action version of the hero on film, and Andrew Garfield. While the former embodied the Marvel hero in Sam Raimi’s original trilogy, Garfield played the web-slinger in 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man. The latter recently opened up about a charming anecdote from the latest film, which involved his co-star as well.
In an interview with ET, Garfield revealed that he and Maguire had snuck into a theatre to watch the film on its opening day. The actor talked about how he had worn a cap and mask to not be recognised and how he and his co-star watched the whole film without being detected. He also opened up about how he had bonded with the cast on sets and called his outing with Maguire a beautiful example of the bond they’d formed.
When questioned about his involvement in Spider-Man: No Way Home before the film’s release, Garfield vehemently denied that he appeared in the film. So, his unexpected appearance with Maguire would have caught more than a few fans off guard.
The latest MCU film also featured Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Jamie Foxx, Willem Dafoe, and Alfred Molina. While Foxx reprises his role from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Dafoe and Molina appear as the characters they played in Raimi’s trilogy.
