Andrew Garfield, in an interview with Esquire discussed how he’s ready to return as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe—but only under one condition. Reflecting on his journey as Peter Parker, Garfield said he was left hanging when The Amazing Spider-Man 3 was shelved. He also mentioned that his return to Spider-Man: No Way Home, marking his MCU debut, was a healing experience for him.

When asked whether he would reprise the role and return to the MCU, Garfield responded positively but stated he would only do so if there was a great concept. “For sure, I would 100 percent come back if it was the right thing, if it’s additive to the culture, if there’s a great concept or something that hasn’t been done before that’s unique and odd and exciting, and that you can sink your teeth into. I love that character, and it brings joy. If part of what I bring is joy, then I’m joyful in return.”

The rumors surrounding Garfield’s potential return have been rampant. According to the scooper My Time To Shine Hello, Andrew Garfield has already signed on for two more Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. If that’s not surprising enough, it’s also being said that there are plans for Garfield to join Tom Holland in Spider-Man 4. Supposedly, Garfield’s Peter (Peter 3) and Tobey Maguire’s Peter (Peter 2) will eventually team up with Holland and Tom Hardy’s Venom to defeat Knull.
