We had previously reported that actor Prashanth will be starring in the upcoming Tamil film Andhagan. While the film has been in the making for a while, the team released the film's trailer online on Saturday. It is to be noted that Andhagan is the remake of the critically acclaimed Hindi film Andhadhun.

The trailer of Andhagan, the upcoming Tamil remake of Hindi film Andhadhun, was released by the makers on social media on Saturday. The film stars Prashanth in the lead roles.

Andhagan's trailer shows Prashanth as a blind pianist, who aspires to go to London, and we are also introduced to various characters. As he witnesses a crime, the film revolves around how the pianist will manage his situation.

For those, who have not watched Andhadhun, it is about a blind pianist who becomes the sole witness of a murder committed by a rich wife. The black comedy drama revolves around the aftermath of the incident. While Ayushmann Khurrana played the lead role, Prashanth will portray his character in the Tamil version.

The Hindi version was directed by Sriram Raghavan and starred actors Tabu, Radhika Apte and Anil Dhawan, among others. It is to be noted that the film was remade in Telugu as Maestro and in Malayalam as Bhramam.

Apart from Prashanth, the film also stars Simran, Priya Anand, Karthik Muthuraman, Samuthirakani, Yogi Babu, Urvasi, K.S. Ravikumar, and Vanitha Vijaykumar, Leela Samson, Poovaiyar, Manobala, Besant Ravi, Mohan Vaithiya, Lakshmi Pradeep, Rekha Suresh, Semmalar, and Kavitha, among others.

The film is helmed by Prashanth's father and actor Thiagarajan and is produced by Shanthi Thiagarajan. Santhosh Narayanan has scored the music for the film. Ravi Yadav has cranked the camera and editing is by Sathish Suriya. A release date for the film is yet to be announced, however, it is expected to be released sometime in August.
