For the uninitiated, the show tackles MeToo issues and the actress plays a bold young woman who encourages women who lack confidence to speak up to take the truth out. However, recently, the actress revealed that she finds it challenging to speak about the same in real life.

Recently, Ananya Panday, at the India Today Mind Rocks Youth Summit 2024, revealed that as an actress, she faces challenges in expressing her thoughts on sensitive issues as she is advised against discussing political issues. She also revealed that despite feeling conscious at times, she feels it is important to align her work with her moral and social beliefs.

Ananya said that she is happy that her recently released show 'Call Me Bae' addresses these issues even though she has not been able to talk about it openly. She said that her show gets into a zone that stands up for women, their empowerment, and the MeToo issue. She added, "It is something that I may not have been fully able to speak about in real life because of various reasons. But, if I can do that through my work, I feel like that also has a large impact."

Talking about Call Me Bae, the show features Ananya Panday, Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur. It is directed by Collin D'Cunha, and has eight episodes in total. It is produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, with Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra serving as executive producers.
