Anand Deverakonda: Vijay Deverakonda doesn't do anything to prove a point, he naturally inspires people

Actor Anand Deverakonda's next, Pushpaka Vimanam, where he co-stars Geeth Saini, Saanve Megghana, is all set to release in theatres on November 12. The film is written and directed by Damodara. Touted to be a roller-coaster entertainer, the film presented by Vijay Deverakonda under the King of the Hill Entertainment has caught the attention of audiences with its quirky music score and catchy promos. The trailer is also all set to release on October 30. As part of an interesting promotional strategy ahead of its release, the Deverakonda brothers, Anand and Vijay came together for a chat.

Anand Deverakonda and Vijay Deverakonda revealed many facets of their personalities while going back in time, reminiscing their memories at hostels, playing cricket, their petty fights and how the two were there for each other, come what may. It also brought out an interesting side to Vijay wherein he discussed his awkwardness about dealing with fame. "I wish I had a different face while being in front of the camera and coming back to my home so that I have separate identities and people didn't get to know so much about me," he said.

Vijay spoke of enjoying being the big, protective brother to Anand while they were at the hostel. He even joked about how Anand keeps following him wherever he goes and whatever he does. "I was born first, he came next. He followed me to the same school and became best friends with my buddies. Even when I entered into films, he's come here as well," Vijay added on a lighter note. The audiences got to know many aspects of their lives - Anand's refined taste with music, him being the first person to earn for the family, the two coordinating with each other to buy a Smart TV for their dad's birthday, to name a few.

Their mother reportedly even ran a spoken English coaching institute in Hyderabad, where Anand and Vijay used to take English and personality development classes for people from marginalised communities. They were reportedly paid Rs 500 per class. Opening up about their equation with parents, "Vijay has an edge with mum because he takes the time to discuss work, shoots and life generally. I don't go that extra mile to do it." Both unanimously agreed that Anand was his dad's favourite kid between the two. Vijay also admitted that he was more of a trouble-maker in comparison to Anand.

The brothers were candid enough to speak about their love lives too, with Vijay being open enough to state that he's been in more relationships than Anand. "I was born two years before him, I had to compensate for that," Vijay added cheekily. Vijay even said that Anand would likely be the first one to marry (despite being younger than him) and he's the perfect marriage material. "I am so much into myself and my career generally. I don't get enough time to nurture relationships gradually. Anand does a good job of that," he said.

Sports play an integral role in their lives, be it cricket, volleyball and badminton. "Anand would score a perfect 100 in most of his subjects on a primary level but once sports came into his life, his academics went for a toss," Vijay Deverakonda mentioned. Speaking of the aspect that Anand admires the most in his brother, Anand stated, "I think he never does anything to prove a point or to make a statement. He seeks to inspire people and that's why he has so many followers."

On the whole, the chat was a breeze where the Deverakonda brothers opened up well and spoke without filters. They hinted about coming up with an episode introducing the director, cast and crew of Pushpaka Vimanam to audiences. "It's one of the most entertaining trailers I've watched recently," Vijay signed off.
