Narain will be reprising his role as officer Bejoy in LCU's upcoming film, Kaithi 2,
The LCU franchise depicts a complex battle between vigilantes and law enforcement in South India against dangerous drug cartels run by powerful crime lords. But ever since the franchise was established, fans have been curious about the backstory of how it all began. Actor Narain, who has starred in films like Kaithi and Vikram, in which he played Officer Bejoy, has made a huge announcement about the LCU franchise.
Narain: A short film based on LCU’s beginning will be released soon
Narain was asked about updates on Karthi's Kaithi 2, in which he also stars, during a promotional event for his upcoming film, Queen Elizabeth. The actor revealed that he and filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj have been working on a short film that is connected to the LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe). “Kaithi 2 is definitely going to be the next film from LCU. Also, we have not revealed this to anyone, but Lokesh and I have shot for a 10-minute short film that is part of the LCU. That short film is about how the LCU began and will be released soon," he said.
Narain and Meera Jasmine's Queen Elizabeth promotions are in full swing
Joseph-fame director M Padmakumar is bringing back the much-loved duo Narain and Meera Jasmine in the movie Queen Elizabeth. The duo is sharing screen space after 18 years; the last time they starred together was in the 2005 superhit Malayalam film Achuvinte Amma.
Meera Jasmine and Narain recently expressed their excitement about reuniting for Queen Elizabeth. In a social media post in which they revealed the latest poster for the film, the duo wrote, “Some bonds are imprinted in our lives that can never be diminished with time and distance. Glad to share the latest poster of Queen Elizabeth where we are coming together on screen again, helmed by Shri M Padmakumar under the banner of Blue Mount Productions. See you soon in cinemas".
Queen Elizabeth features an ensemble cast comprising Shweta Menon, Ramesh Pisharody, VK Prakash, Shyamaprasad, Johny Antony, Mallika Sukumaran, Jude Anthany Joseph, Arya, and Shruthi Rajanikanth. The film, shot by Jithu Damodar, has music composed by Ranjin Raj.
