Venkat Prabhu's Maanaadu has been the talk of the town at Kollywood, thanks to the unanimous positive response it garnered from movie lovers and critics alike. The crew members of the film had taken to their respective social media handles to thank the viewers for the support they lent for the political thriller.
Silambarasan, who played the lead, is the latest to join the list of those from the project's crew who expressed happiness for the massive reception from film buffs. He came up with a detailed heartfelt note and posted it from his Twitter account.
The translated version of the note reads, "Maanaadu is a film which has been made by pinning a lot of hopes on hard work and the Almighty. My dream to keep those who admire me happy has been fulfilled. Maanaadu has become a money spinner across the world. I would like to thank the film's producer Suresh Kamatchi, director Venkat Prabhu, the cast and crew of the project, distributors, exhibitors, my parents, friends in the industry, media and my fans."
Silambarasan added that he can't express his gratitude in a few words, and thanked everyone for lifting him up when he was badly in need of a success. He was earlier in the news when he broke down during the film's pre release event held recently.
He had then said to his fans, "I will take care of my problems. You should take care of me," amid cheers and whistles from his hardcore fans. Maanaadu is expected to have an OTT premiere on SonyLIV around Christmas, after which it will be telecast on Kalaignar TV.
