An Action Hero will give another dimension to Ayushmann Khurrana’s acting, says Aanand L Rai

Ayushmann Khurrana is set to begin the filming of An Action Hero in London

An Action Hero starring Ayushmann Khurrana will begin its filming soon in London and the movie will mark the directorial debut of Anirudh Iyer. Aanand L Rai, who is one of the producers of the project, has now said that the movie will give another dimension to the actor.

In a conversation with India Today, Aanand L Rai said, "We again have an intelligent actor called Ayushmann Khuranna (on board) who chooses his subjects and scripts brilliantly. His association with us has been a fantastic one. We did Subh Mangal Savdhan, and the way he chooses his characters is commendable."

The director also believes that the movie will be a gamechanger for Khurrana and that it will give another dimension to his acting. He added that the fans can wait for another magical and gutsy story from Ayushmaan and them.

This is the second time Khurrana is collaborating with Rai after the romantic comedy Shubh Mangal Saavdhan directed by R. S. Prasanna.

With the production of the movie set to take place in both India and London, England, this will be the first time the actor will be shooting for a film in London.

The movie is helmed by Anirudh Iyer, who has previously worked under Rai as an assistant director. He assisted Rai in projects such as Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Zero. An Action Hero will also mark the directorial debut of Iyer.

The project is backed by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Rai's Colour Yellow Productions and is touted to be a slick action film with an offbeat satire.

Khurrana was last seen in Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui co-starring Vaani Kapoor. The movie has received fairly positive reviews and is now available to stream on Netflix.
