Following its release in 2020 before the pandemic, Love Mocktail starring Darling Krishna, Milana Nagaraj and Amrutha Iyengar and directed by Krishna struck a chord with the audience. As the sequel is getting ready for its release, Amrutha Iyengar has now opened up about the movie.

In an interview with Times of India, the actor said that it was a little challenging to get the same look and mannerisms. “I had to ensure there was no miss in the dialogue delivery either. People can get critical, so I was actually watching myself in Love Mocktail and then acting in Love Mocktail 2”, said Iyengar.

Talking about the movie, she said that the sequel is a rollercoaster ride with the first half offering laughs and the second half being emotional. She added that though it is difficult to make a sequel for a romantic movie, they have executed it well and that the movie has what it takes to be one of the best movies of 2022.

Love Mocktail marked the directorial debut of Krishna and the movie followed his character Aadi on a journey of finding love. The Telugu remake titled Gurthunda Seethakalam with Satyadev Kancharana and Tamannaah in the lead is also gearing up for a release.

Love Mocktail 2 will see Krishna, Nagaraj and Iyengar all reprise their roles from the first movie along with other pivotal characters. While Raghu Dixit composed the music for the first movie, the sequel has music by Nakul Abhayankar.

The official trailer and songs from the sequel have already been released and have received good love from the fans, who are expecting another good movie from the team.
