The 14th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati will commence on August 7 with Aamir Khan on the hot seat. While the promos of the show are out, the star host, Amitabh Bachchan, met the press on Wednesday. The quiz show will be available on Sony and till Independence Day, the show will feature a number of accomplished individuals, including Indian Boxer Mary Kom and footballer Sunil Chhetri.
Talking about the show, Amitabh told the media representative that he still feels nervous on the set. “Even today, every time I reach the KBC set, my legs start shaking. I get tense thinking if I would be able to host the show properly. I feel audiences these days are getting used to a wide range of ho and it is only a show like KBC that can still bring a family in front of the television.
Due to the pandemic, there was no live audience on the set. Only a handful of authorised people could enter the set. Before that, everybody had to undertake a covid test. Talking about this, Amitabh said that after a while there will be a live audience and in-person interaction. “Last time I missed shaking hands with the audience or helping someone to sit on the hot seat. This year, the presence of the audience has made me feel good,” he said.
Talking about his association with the show, Amitabh said that every time he receives the offer to host KBC, he feels his job is secure for another term. He also admitted that he feels connected to every single person who plays the game with him. It is not just some causal claim. “It is because of the struggle I went through during the initial days of my career. That brings me closer to the audience,” he said.
