Zombivli will release in theatres on January 26.
Amey Wagh and Lalit Prabhakar's zombie film Zombivli is slated to release in theatres very soon. That's right, the makers have announced that the movie will have a theatrical release despite the COVID-19 scare. In fact due to the situation, the makers decided to prepone the film from February 4 release.
Now, Zombivli will release in theatres on Republic Day i.e. on January 26. In fact, the makers are unveiling a new trailer with the media in Mumbai on January 18.
Zombivli's makers released a few catchy songs from the film recently. Amey and Lalit have also been promoting the film all across Mumbai. The two keep sharing videos from their promotions, the latest being from Amey's vanity van.
Yoodlee Films had previously released the trailer of the movie which was fun as well as unique. In the trailer, Amey’s character is seen introducing the concept of zombies to a cop.
While Amey would explain what zombies are, we also get to see how dangerous they are. Lalit then springs into action, quite literally. His gun is introduced in the trailer itself.
The name Zombivli is inspired from zombies and stations in Mumbai city like Kandivali and Borivali. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film also stars Vaidehi Parshurami in the lead role. It also features Janaki Pathak, Trupti Kamkar and Sharat Sonu in pivotal roles.
Zombivli was earlier scheduled to release in April 2021. However, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the movie’s release had to be delayed.
The makers did not wish to go for a direct-to-OTT release either and hence, they waited for theatres to completely open up. Currently, while they have announced the theatrical release date of the film, there is no update on when or where will Zombivli release on OTT.
