Ambarish Bhattacharya celebrates his 50th film on the set of Pariah

Ambarish Bhattacharya’s entry to the tinsel town might be a little late, but he took no time to rise to fame. The fine actor he is, he quickly reached his 50th project. The film Pariah, directed by Tathagata Mukherjee, is his half-century mark. Ambarish cut a cake on the shooting floor to celebrate the moment.

His first film was Raja Gaja No Problem. He built his fanbase in these few years. In a chat with Anandabazar Online, he talked about his feelings while doing the 50th film. Ambarish answered, “The feeling is good. I started late in the cinema, as I was busy with the serials. But I feel elated that I completed 50 films so quickly.”

Ambarish does not want to reveal anything about his character in Pariah. But he said that he is fortunate. “I could not invest time in the cinema had I not got help from the directors and producers of television. I am also grateful to the Bengali A-lister directors who gave me opportunities in their films in such a small time,” said the actor.

Tathagata shared Ambarish's photo of cutting a cake on Pariah's shooting floor on Sunday. That was also the birthday of the film’s actress Angana Roy. The unit celebrated Angana's birthday as well. The shooting was in Bantala. Angana told Anandabazar Online, “I cut the cake, even though it was late. It was Ambarish da's fiftieth film. There was a storm during the shooting. We had fun.”
