The movie will premiere on Amazon Prime Video in June 2021,
After teasing the fans with the first look poster, the makers of Vidya Balan’s much-anticipated project Sherni have dropped the film’s teaser today. The trailer of the film will be out on June 2. The less than half a minute teaser opens with a pan shot of a dense forest. This is followed by the appearance of Vidya Balan along with two policer officers who seem to be in search of something.
The teaser has just one line from the actress which roughly translates to - “No matter how dense the jungle is, the tigress knows her way.” Vidya appears fearless as an officer in the teaser. The film is apparently based on the life of a forest officer who tries to maintain peace in an area known for its human-animal conflicts.
Directed by Amit Masurkar, the film also stars Sharat Saxena, Mukul Chadda, Vijay Raaz, Ila Arun, Brijendra Kala and Neeraj Kabi among others.
Sherni was reportedly shot in the dense forests of Madhya Pradesh. However, the film’s shooting was stalled post the lockdown last year. The team resumed shooting in October 2020.
In an early statement about the film, its producer Bhushan Kumar had shared, “Sherni is one of the most unconventional and engaging films I have had a chance to produce and I am thrilled that it’s premiering on Amazon Prime Video as the movie will travel to a global audience.”,
Though, the movie has been scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video in June 2021, there has been no confirmation on the exact date of release yet. ,
