With only a month left for the release of the Tamil film Amaran starring actor Sivakarthikeyan, the makers unveiled a glimpse of actor Sai Pallavi, who plays the female lead in the film, on social media on Friday. Amaran is set to hit theatres on October 31.

Sai Pallavi glimpse from Amaran out

On Friday, the makers of Amaran released the first glimpse of Sai Pallavi who plays the female lead in the film, headlined by actor Sivakarthikeyan. Amaran is a biopic of Mukund Varadarajan, a commissioned officer in the Indian Army's Rajput Regiment. He was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra for his operation with the 44th Rashtriya Rifles battalion. Actor Sivakarthikeyan will be essaying the main lead in the film, marking the first biopic project in his career.

The glimpse begins with the actual footage of Indhu Rebecca Varghese, the widow of Major Mukundan Vardarajan, as it slowly transitions into Sai Pallavi who is playing the character. We see a few shots of Sai Pallavi along with the journey of her love story with Mukundan as he gets promoted for every rank in the Army. The glimpse also ends with Indhu saying she is in a long-distance relationship with her love, as we see the widow reminiscing her memories with her late partner.

The film is scheduled to hit big screens on October 31 for the occasion of Diwali. Directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, the film is produced by Kamal Haasan under Raaj Kamal Films International. Rahul Bose and Lallu are also part of the cast.

Amaran’s post-theatrical streaming rights have been bagged by Netflix. The technical crew consists of cinematography by Ch Sai, with R Kalaivanan as the editor. GV Prakash Kumar is scoring the music for the film.

Sivakarthikeyan’s transformation in Amaran, which is expected to be high on action, has already garnered much attention among his fans.
