Tamil cinema in 2024 did not perform as well as Malayalam cinema did. Even though there were some sporadic hits, it was Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran that made the audience return to theatres in large numbers. Amaran was released in theatres for Diwali on October 31 and went on to become a commercial success, collecting over Rs 300 crore.

Amaran is produced by Kamal Haasan under Raaj Kamal Films International. With music scored by GV Prakash Kumar, critics hailed the lead cast’s performances and screenplay of Amaran. This sums up Amaran to be the perfect weekend watch to enjoy with your family.
