Amala Paul's long-delayed survival thriller Adho Andha Paravai Pola is all set to release this summer
Amala Paul's long-delayed Adho Andha Paravai Pola is all set to release this summer. The film's production house shared the news on their social media page on the occasion of May Day. Adho Andha Paravai Pola is an action adventure film which marks the directorial debut of Vinoth KR. The star cast for the film includes Amala Paul, Ashish Vidyarthi, Samir Kochchar and Supreme Sundhar. Adho Andha Paravai Pola is a survival drama set in the forest.
It looks like Amala Paul doesn't want to do run-of-the-mill roles anymore and is looking for characters where she can prove her mettle. Her film Aadai was testimony to that. And Adho Andha Paravai Pola is the next step in that direction. It is said to be Amala Paul's most physically demanding film as the actress had to do some heavy-duty stunts for her character. And interestingly, she didn't resort for a body double. The actress herself is a fitness enthusiast, an avid trekker and aerial yoga practitioner. Amala herself had revealed that after Mynaa, this was the most strenuos film she had worked on.
And since the team shot in a forest, it looks like they had to do a lot of treks and ride through off-roads to reach the destination. Amala Paul plays the protagonist who is trapped in a forest along with two children. She lost some weight for the part and the stunts were choreographed in a manner that would suit a woman's body language.
The film also marks the acting debut of Supreme Sundar, a popular stunt choreographer along with popular TV host Samir Kochchar, who takes the plunge into Tamil cinema with the film. Music for the film is by Jakes Bejoy.
The title Adho Andha Paravai Pola has been inspired from a popular song of gthe same name Puratchi Thalaivar MG Ramchandran’s iconic film, Aayirathil Oruvan. The title and the song delves into the importance of freedom and that one must like a bird, free in the air.
