Pushpa: The Rise released in theatres on December 17 after much-anticipation. Starring Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna, the movie became a massive success at the box office, including its Hindi dubbed version. The latest report about the movie suggests that its distribution rights of its sequel in Hindi is in high demand.
"Mythri had partnered with Manish Shah for Part 1, but for the second part, they are looking to extensively establish themselves as a producer in the Hindi belt. They are also in talks with several studios and distributors for the release of the film in Hindi,” said a source as reported by Pikvilla.
The report also added that the movie’s rights are available at record prices. The makers could take the KGF and Baahubali route, getting a distributor on board commission basis.
The source also stated that the movie is now scheduled to kickstart by August and the production would span for six months. The source added that scenes have already been shot and that it may even include action sequences that could be one of the costliest in Indian cinema.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa: The Rise follows a daily wage woodcutter and his incredible rise to the top of the red sandalwood smuggling rings. While Allu Arjun plays the titular role, the movie also stars Rashmika as the female lead and Fahadh Faasil as an antagonist. Following the success of the movie, fans have been eagerly waiting for the second part.
