The two-part action thriller, also starring Rashmika, Fahadh Faasil, is directed by Sukumar
Pushpa, which released amidst challenging conditions in the pandemic year, turned out to be a remarkable, eventful film in the careers of actor Allu Arjun and director Sukumar. The action thriller, which performed well in all South Indian languages, went onto be a surprise success in Hindi. Earlier this year, Allu Arjun went onto win the National Award as the Best Actor (Male) for his performance.

The second part of the film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, is gearing up for a release in 2024 on August 15, clashing with Ajay Devgn’s Singham 3. Most of the key actors in the first part will return for the sequel while there will be newer additions to the lineup too. Meanwhile, we have another proof of the influence that Pushpa has had over the masses during this year’s celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi.
With references to the iconic gesture where Allu Arjun says ‘Thaggede le’ to colourful new poster for Pushpa 2, the star’s film has been a integral part of the festival celebrations, in the form of idols, cultural events and fancy dress competitions this season. The makers of the two-part action thriller shared a brief video to show how Lord Ganesha got a Pushpa twist.
“A Blend of TRADITION and TREND. PUSHPA RAJ ADDS SOME STYLE AND SWAG TO THE FESTIVE CELEBRATIONS. #Pushpa2TheRule Grand Release Worldwide on 15th AUG 2024,” the production house wrote, while sharing the video. Rashmika Mandanna is the female lead in the film also starring Daali Dhananjaya, Fahadh Faasil, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Rao Ramesh.
Allu Arjun, after Pushpa 2, will join hands with filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas for their fourth collaboration, to be produced by Haarika and Hassine Creations, the makers of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. He will also work with Sandeep Reddy Vanga on another prestigious project later. Jawan director Atlee too recently confirmed that a project with the Pushpa 2 star is on the cards.
