Allu Arjun says he is a forever ‘Chennai Boy’; Nelson Dilipkumar has a special request to the Pushpa 2 actor

Pushpa 2: The Rule, the Allu Arjun starrer directed by Sukumar is gearing up for its theatrical release on December 5, 2024. Ahead of the massive release, the makers dropped the Pushpa 2 single ‘Kissik’, featuring the leading man and Sreeleela, at a grand event held in Chennai. The Telugu superstar, who attended the event, expressed his love for the city in a heartwarming speech. Meanwhile, Jailer director Nelson Dilipkumar, who attended the event, made a special request to Allu Arjun.

For the uninitiated, the Telugu superstar was born and raised in Chennai, as his family was based in the city for the longest time. Allu Arjun, who spent his entire childhood and teenage years in T. Nagar, expressed his deep love for Chennai in a heartwarming speech at the recently held Pushpa 2 song launch event. “Where ever I go, I am basically a T. Nagar guy. Thank you, Chennai for making me who I am. I am forever a Chennai boy,” said the Pushpa 2 actor.

Nelson Dilipkumar has a request to Allu Arjun

The Jailer director, who attended the Pushpa 2 song launch event, expressed his admiration for Allu Arjun in his speech. “I have been his fan since Butta Bomma song (from Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo) was released. He has swag and style, and it is fascinating to see him. I think Allu Arjun has to tell that answer,” said Nelson Dilipkumar, when he was asked about the plans to collaborate with the Pushpa 2 actor. “He has to do a straight Tamil film. He can fluently speak the language and he has to do straight films in all languages,” further added Nelson.

Allu Arjun, on the other hand, reacted to Nelson Dilipkumar’s special request with a big thumbs up. Earlier it was rumoured that the Pushpa 2 actor might team up with hitmaker Atlee for a Telugu-Tamil bilingual project. However, the project was reportedly shelved during the discussion stage itself, due to the creative differences between the filmmaker, and the production banner, Geetha Arts.
