Pushpa: The Rise became one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2021 and bagged two awards at the 69th National Film Awards
Telugu actor Allu Arjun attended the Berlin International Film Festival and represented Indian cinema in global market through Pushpa franchise. He attended the special screening of Pushpa: The Rise and also confirmed that a franchise is in the making with Pushpa 3 expected in the pipeline .
The actor also engaged with international filmmakers, producers, and market buyers during his visit. The second part of the film, Pushpa: The Rule is set to release on August 15 . It is directed by Sukumar.
Allu Arjun, who attended the special screening of Pushpa: The Rise, was one of the Indian stars to represent the country at the Berlin International Film Festival. The actor also confirmed that a third part can be expected from the Pushpa franchise.

Speaking to Variety, Allu Arjun was quoted as saying, “You can definitely expect part three, we do want to make it a franchise and we have exciting ideas for the lineup.” A special sizzle reel was also screened at the festival’s European Film Market.
The actor also opened about his characterisation in Pushpa 2 and said, “You’ll see the highest end of the spectrum in terms of characterization. So you’ll see him on a very high note, you’ll see him on a very high scale, in terms of characterization, in terms of this scale and presentation and the canvas of the problems are going to be much bigger than what it was compared to Pushpa 1. It’s going to be a bigger canvas, and there is a different dimension to the characterization.”
Pushpa franchise is directed by filmmaker Sukumar and backed by Mythri Movie Makers banner. The film also stars Sunil, Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna among others. The second part, Pushpa: The Rule will release on August 15, Independence Day. Pushpa is about the titular red sanders smuggler, a coolie who goes on to become the kingpin of the smuggling industry
