The actor confirmed the news at the Ugram teaser launch today and said that their next will go on floors in 2024
Allari Naresh, who hit a rough patch with his run-of-the-mill comedies a few years ago, made full use of the opportunity to reinvent himself in an intense avatar with Naandhi. The film, directed by Vijay Kanakamedala, which released amidst tense circumstances in 2021, merely a month or two before the second lockdown of COVID-19, turned out to be a surprise hit at the box office.
While the actor was seen in a rural drama Itlu Maredumilli Prajaneekam in 2022, he’s reuniting with Vijay Kanakamedala for a crime thriller titled Ugram. The film’s teaser was launched by Naga Chaitanya today at AMB Cinemas, Hyderabad. Calling the Majili actor a dear friend and thanking him for gracing the event, he spoke of having huge respect for Naga Chaitanya, the person.
However, the major highlight of the event was the confidence with which the actor announced another film with the Ugram, Naandhi director, even before the former’s release. “I am an actor born to a director and I got great results when I trusted them fully. When I was on a low, Vijay suggested me to change gears and try a hatke story with Naandhi. I can’t forget his faith in my capabilities.”
“Vijay stood up for me when not many were around to give me a push and here’s a promise that I’ll always stand by his side whenever necessary. We took nearly three years to do our second film (Ugram) and we are teaming up again for another film in 2024. I can assure you that we’ll be collaborating frequently henceforth,” Allari Naresh shared, much to movie buff’s delight.
Naandhi, he said, was a film made under several budget limitations, adding that there was no scope for compromise with Ugram, owing to the producers’ (Shine Screens) belief in the content. Mirnaa plays the female lead in Ugram, that’s set for a summer release.
