All of Us are Dead is the latest Korean show to dominate Netflix's viewership charts in the US. The zombie apocalypse thriller show is the third such show to achieve this feat after Squid Game and Hellbound.

According to a Deadline report, All of Us are Dead reached the No 1 spot within a week of its release while Squid Game had reached their much faster, on its 4th day itself.

The report also notes that this mass popularity did not just come out of nowhere. The consumption of K-content has jumped by 200 per cent in the US between 2019 and 2021.

"I truly can’t believe all the love it has received from so many countries around the world. I think this will come as a great relief to all the actors and staff who devoted themselves to this project for two years," director Lee Jae Gyu spoke on the popularity of the show (via EDaily).

Based on the webtoon Now at Our School by Joo Dong Geun, All of Us are Dead follows a group of students imprisoned in school amid a zombie apocalypse.

Starring Park Ji Hu, Yoon Chan Young, Cho Yi Hyun, Park Solomon, Yoo In Soo, Lee Yoo Mi, Kim Byung Chul, Lee Kyu Hyung, and Jeon Bae Soo, the show was released on Netflix on January 28.
