The popular sports drama All American is currently streaming on Netflix. The series was released in October 2018 on CW network. CW has also announced a spinoff for the series titled All American: Homecoming. They have also announced that the series has been renewed for a fourth season. The spinoff series is set to premiere midseason.

All American Season 3 has 19 episodes and the third episode will be a backdoor pilot to the spinoff series. All American had a slow start on the CW network but gained fandom through streaming. Season 3 was watched by 17 per cent more people than Season 2 finale. Netflix agreed with CW that they will release the series on the platform, eight days after its finale on the network.

All American narrates the struggles, wins and fails of an aspiring tennis star Simone and equally skilled basketball player Damon from Chicago. The episodes go through their various experiences at universities and Historically Black colleges. The series is based on real-life American professional football player Spencer Paysinger.

The third season picks up from the second season finale revealing that Spencer’s shoulder injury has resurfaced. The first episode provides answers for the questions about Spencer’s future as a football player with the injury and about his still undecided confusion about leaving Beverly Hills High and returning to play football for South Crenshaw High.

The series stars Daniel Ezra as Spencer James, Bre-Z as Tamia, Greta Oniegou as Layla Keating and Samantha Logan as Olivia Baker.
