In September 2023, renowned Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt unveiled her upcoming starring project, Jigra, via social media. Directed by filmmaker Vasan Bala, the movie is notably co-produced by Bhatt and filmmaker Karan Johar, marking Johar's inaugural venture into the action genre under Dharma Movies. Today, Alia Bhatt utilized her Instagram platform to post a series of photos with The Archies star Vedang Raina, marking the completion of filming for Jigra.

Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina have officially wrapped up the shoot of Jigra. Taking to Instagram today, they shared the news with a bunch of photos from the film’s set. Not only this, but they disclosed the release date of the film. The film is slated to be released theatrically on September 27 this year.

In 2023, the motion poster of the film was released which depicted an animated Alia positioned in the center of a rain-soaked road, her head bowed in evident distress. Against this backdrop, a voiceover delivers a poignant dialogue, adding depth to the emotional ambiance portrayed in the scene.

“Dekh, dekh mujhe. Meri rakhi pehenta hai na tu, tu meri protection mein hai. Tujhe main kuch nahi hone dungi, kabhi bhi.” (Look at me, you are wearing my rakhi, you are in my protection. I will not let anything happen to you, ever),” said Alia Bhatt.

By looking at the poster, it is evident that the story will chronicle the lives of a brother and a sister.
