Alia Bhatt's character details for a potential biopic with Hansal Mehta revealed.
Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is renowned for playing roles that captivate audiences with her talented and diverse performance. She has won over fans with her adaptable characters in movies like Raazi, Darlings, Udta Punjab, Gangubai Kathiawadi, and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, among others. Now, according to the latest reports, filmmaker Hansal Mehta and actress Alia are reportedly in talks to do a biography.
If reports by Box Office Worldwide are to be believed then the duo will collaborate for a biopic of eminent journalist Barkha Dutt. Dutt, an award-winning pioneer of Indian journalism, has previously stated that she wanted to see Alia play her in a movie.
Barkha Dutt once expressed her desire for Alia Bhatt to do her biopic
“I am not saying this because she just has a film out but I am saying this because I really think she’s the most talented actor is Alia Bhatt. I mean there’s no question…the range, the sheer range, the ease with which she plays everything,” Barkha said in an interview with Pinkvilla.

And now Hansal Mehta has apparently approached Alia for the movie, according to a report in Peeping Moon. Although she hasn't committed just yet, the Raazi actress has shown a great desire to work on this project. For months, Alia and Hansal have been talking about their potential collaboration, and so far, things appear to be going well. But as of yet, nothing has been confirmed or announced officially, so we have to wait.
If the project works out, it will be the first time that Alia and Hansal will work together and the third time that Alia will work on a real-life story, following Gangubai Kathiawadi and Raazi. The team will start shooting the movie in the second half of 2024.
