Alia Bhatt is all set to headline a supernatural thriller, backed by Dinesh Vijan.

Alia Bhatt was last seen in Vasan Bala's Jigra alongside Vedang Raina. The film did not do well at the box office but the actress was lauded for her performance. The actress is currently busy with her upcoming projects - YRF's Alpha with Sharvari Wagh and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love And War, also starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. While the actress is already busy with these two big projects, there has now been an update about her next and it is going to be a supernatural thriller.
According to the reports by Pinkvilla, Alia Bhatt has been visiting Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Film's office to discuss the upcoming horror thriller. The reports suggest that the actress has discussed multiple feature films with the producer and they are now almost set to collaborate for the psychological supernatural thriller which the actress gave heads up to.
"The actress has loved a psychological supernatural thriller, which could be her next after Love And for the big screen. The talks are on, and things are expected to be on paper by the first quarter of 2025,” revealed a source close to the development to the portal. The film, which is currently in the writing stage, is said to be tentatively titled as Chamunda.
“Alia is excited to partner with Maddock on this feature film, which could start a parallel universe alongside the horror comedy universe comprising of Stree, Bhediya, Munjya, and Thamma. The new universe will feature, Alia Bhatt and Kiara Advani among many others,” the source added.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Alia Bhatt was last seen in Karan Johar-backed film, Jigra. She will next appear in Alpha, which is a part of the YRF Spy Universe. The film also stars Sharvari Wagh and is directed by Shiv Rawail. She also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love and War in her kitty. The film also stars her husband Ranbir Kapoor as well as Vicky Kaushal.
