2023 has been a special year for Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and their fans! Alia Bhatt delivered a terrific performance in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, while Ranbir Kapoor won hearts by his amazing acting skills in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar and Animal. Clearly, both the Bollywood superstars are ruling the hearts of movie lovers in the country. Recently, this celebrity couple graced an awards function in Gujarat. Here is what happened next.

Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and more grace an awards show

The 69th edition of a prominent awards function recently held in Gujarat, saw power couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor clinching top acting honours. Alia Bhatt was honored with the Best Actress award for her role in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, while her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, secured the Best Actor award for his outstanding performance in Animal. Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film, Animal, led the way with a total of six trophies while filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra's film, 12th Fail, claimed some of the night's most prestigious awards, including Best Film and Best Director.

In the Critics category, actor Vikrant Massey received the Best Actor award for 12th Fail. Simultaneously, actors Rani Mukherji and Shefali Shah jointly earned the Best Actress (Critics) award for their roles in Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway and Three of Us, respectively.

Summing up the experience of the Sunday night, Alia Bhatt took to Instagram this evening and said, “This (post) is for the entire team of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.” In the post, she attached a bunch of pictures from the grand event including stills of Ranbir Kapoor’s dance performance, filmmaker Karan Johar’s hosting session and more.

Tota Roy Chowdhury, who played a supporting role in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, commented, “Absolutely deserving. I was a witness to your hard work & dedication. Always punctual & prepared, readily agreeing to takes after takes for that perfect shot. It was such a pleasure working with you Alia. Professional lives of Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor

On the work front, Alia Bhatt is looking forward to her film, Jigra. Ranbir, on the other hand, will be working on Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial Ramayana. Later, the two stars will work together on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Love and War.
