In an extremely endearing conversation with Hindustan Times’ Sonal Kalra Sonal Kalra (Chief Managing Editor, Entertainment and Lifestyle, Hindustan Times) at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, Alia Bhatt was asked about what was going on in her mind before she got the National Award from the President. In the quintessential Alia Bhatt style, she replied, “I was enamoured with the way the whole event was organised. It was a pinch me moment. It was overwhelming in general to be there. Five second before, if I had to recall, it was a lovely moment that Kriti Sanon and I shared. She just looked back at me and said, "I just want to give you a hug”.
The Gangubai Kathiawadi actress continued, “We (Kriti Sanon and she) both hugged each other and it was such an emotional moment. Two young girls living a dream and a feeling of gratitude. We both had tears in our eyes after that moment. We just wanted to get out of the hug, because we would have just started weeping out there, which we did not want! That was quite a special moment”.
On the professional front, Alia Bhatt will be soon seen in Jigra, which she is co-producing with Dharma Productions. Alia Bhatt had signed up for this film last year. Both Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt are extremely excited about the film. Besides Alia Bhatt, there are no other names that have been revealed at this moment. Watch this space for development.
