Promotion for Alia Bhatt's next film Jigra which co-stars Vedang Raina, is in full swing. The actor discussed her film, in which she and Vedang portray siblings, in a recent interview with Jr. NTR and Karan Johar. Alia complimented Vedang on his perseverance, saying he made her think of Ranveer Singh, her co-star in Gully Boy and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

She believes that Vedang is truly exceptional and incredible. She believes that Vedang is so incredible that he may not even realise it himself. During a crucial sequence where he was visibly distressed, Alia reassured him that there is a positive aspect: as a Hindi cinema hero, he cries attractively and puts in a lot of effort. Like most people, Vedang acts on impulse, but he also prepares ahead of time. He strongly reminded her of Ranveer, a sentiment she also expressed to him.
Alia continued by highlighting his unique personality and his unwavering dedication. To her, that is an enormous compliment. She recognises the seriousness and concentration needed to nail the shot. She implies that Vedang is clearly an individual. His voice is just stunning. Vasan Bala and Alia often discussed how he possessed a truly ancient soul. Despite being older than Vedang, Alia quipped that he is like 60 years old, and she still considers herself to have an ancient soul. He has a very grounded and focused spirit. Alia believes that his depth will propel him to great heights.
Vedang debuted as an actor in Netflix's The Archies, directed by Zoya Akhtar.
Jigra: A sibling bond story directed by Vasan Bala
Vasan Bala directs Jigra a story about a sister who loves her brother deeply and would go to great lengths to keep him safe. Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, in collaboration with Alia and her sister Shaheen Bhatt's Eternal Sunshine Productions, co-produced the thriller. The release date for it is October 11, 2024.
