Alia Bhatt is one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood today. With the release of the trailer of Gangubai Kathiawadi, she has only proven her mettle, yet again. The actor who will soon be completing a decade of her career, recently opened up about movies, her workplace in a conversation with Siddharth Kannan.

Calling Bollywood the ‘most brutal industry’, Alia said the only reason to survive there is hard work. Until one gives their hundred per cent, they won’t survive more than six months or a year. She also talked about how Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn survived in the industry. Although they did not come with the baggage of being a superstar’s son, they pulled it off as they kept working hard every day.

She also added that the artistes who are superstars for the audience, who create a big fuss, are all working at the end of the day. This is the same reason why they uphold their goodwill, according to the Highway actor.

Alia shares the screen space with Ajay Devgn in Gangubai. Sharing the experiences, she opened up about how she was treated normally by the actor, rather than treating her like a junior. “I don’t know how to explain, but there was no barrier,” she said and added that she could be friends with him soon.

She also said that her bond with Shah Rukh is ‘really different’. The duo was seen together in the 2016 Dear Zindagi, which talks about the importance of mental health and seeking professional help.

She also summed up her relationship with Sanjay Dutt, with whom she worked on Sadak 2. She says he treats her like a baby and she wanted to call him ‘chachu’. This is also because of his relationship with her dad, Alia concluded.
