Director Ali Abbas Zafar is gearing up for the release of his movie Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles, BMCM is scheduled for a theatrical release on April 10, 2024. It is headed for a box office clash with Ajay Devgn's Maidaan at the box office. Before Bade Miyan Chote Miyan's release, Ali shared his thoughts about his movie's box office clash with Amit Sharma's Maidaan.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Ali Abbas Zafar requested everyone to go and watch Maidaan and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan whenever they have time. The filmmaker mentioned that two films can be released together. "I feel we are two very different films and both films will offer the best to the audience so please go and watch it on this Eid," he said.

The BMCM director further urged people to support the film industry. He said they want people to come to theatres and support them as a filmmaking fraternity. Ali stated that there's no negativity or clash among them. He said they have immense respect for one another because they all out in a lot of hard work in making films.

Akshay Kumar's shoutout for Ajay Devgn's Maidaan

On Ajay Devgn's 55th birthday, Akshay Kumar penned a special wish for the actor. In his tweet, the actor also gave a shoutout to Devgn's upcoming film, Maidaan, directed by Amit Sharma. Khiladi Kumar took to his official X account and penned, "My wish for you always, ‘Kar har Maidaan fateh Happy birthday brother, ajaydevgn. Love and prayers (sic)."

Meanwhile, the star cast of BMCM also includes Sonakshi Sinha, Alaya F, Manushi Chhillar and Prithviraj Sukumaran. As far as Maidaan is concerned, the film stars Priyamani as Ajay's on-screen wife. The film sheds light on the life of former Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. While BMCM is backed by Pooja Entertainment and AAZ Films, Maidaan is produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios.
