The upcoming film is directed by Abhishek Sharma and also features Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushratt Bharuccha.
Akshay Kumar has called a wrap on filming for his upcoming movie, Ram Setu. The actor announced the news via his official Instagram handle with a video paying tribute to the team behind the project. The film had gone on floors earlier last year.
The 30-second long clip opens with the actor announcing that today was the last day of filming Ram Setu, and then moving on to show the sena or ‘army’ whose efforts were behind getting the film to fruition. It then cuts to show the film crew flashing peace signs and celebrating the film wrap; we can also see the cast joining the celebrations with Kumar and his co-star Jacqueline Fernandez cutting a cake to mark the occasion.
In the caption, Kumar mentions how he was able to learn so much over the course of the filming, and he felt as though he was back in school. The actor also talked about how the cast and crew had worked hard on the film, requesting audiences to shower the film with love.

Kumar will play the role of an archaeologist in the film and his first look from the same was unveiled back in November 2020, which saw him sport long hair and spectacles. In addition to Kumar and Fernandez, Nushratt Bharuccha also stars in the film. The upcoming film is directed by Abhishek Sharma.
The film is produced by Amazon Prime Video along with the banners of Cape of Good Films, Abundantia Entertainment and Lyca Productions. After Ram Setu’s theatrical release, the film will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
Ram Setu will be released this year, around Diwali.
