Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar's Raksha Bandhan are two highly-awaited Hindi movies that are getting ready for their releases. As both the movies have an August 11 release date, fans are expecting a bumper clash between the two heavyweights. Akshay Kumar has now opened up about the clash, saying that it is only ‘natural’.

As reported by Pinkvilla, the superstar talked about the clash as the team was attending the movie’s trailer release event in Delhi. “It's not a clash, it's about 2 big movies coming together. It's a big date. There has been a delay due to Covid, and clashes are natural. I won't say we are clashing, we are trying to bring our film to the people. I hope both the films have a good run at the box office,” said Akshay Kumar.

The movie’s makers released its trailer earlier today, which hints at a fun family drama, about a brother who has to see to it that his sisters get married. Apart from Akshay, the movie also stars Bhumi Pednekar, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb and Smrithi Srikanth.

Raksha Bandhan is Akshay’s second collaboration with director Aanand L. Rai, after Atrangi Re, which stars Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush in the lead roles too. The Disney+ Hotstar movie is written by Himanshu Sharma and is bankrolled by Zee Studios, Colour Yellow Productions and Cape of Good Films.

Laal Singh Chaddha, on the other hand, has been a long awaited movie, starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead. Directed by Advait Chandan, the coming-of-age movie is the official Hindi remake of Robert Zemeckis’ classic, Forrest Gump, starring Tom Hanks in the lead.
