It was recently reported that Akshay Kumar's film Sky Force has been postponed. The latest development is that the film may get Republic Day 2025 release.

Sky Force was one of the most anticipated releases of Akshay Kumar in 2024. The movie was set to release in theatres on October 2 this year. However, it was recently reported that Sky Force had been postponed. And now the latest update is that the Akshay Kumar-starrer has got a new release date. The movie will have its theatrical release in January 2025. An official announcement about the same is expected soon.
The makers of Sky Force have reportedly decided to give a Republic Day release for their film. The Akshay Kumar-starrer will be released in theatres on January 24, 2025. "Sky Force would arrive in cinemas on January 24, 2025. It’ll be a Republic Day release and is the right time to be presented to the viewers as it’s a patriotic entertainer. An official announcement will happen soon," a source told Bollywood Hungama.
Directed by Abhishek Kapur and Sandeep Kelwani, Sky Force also stars Nimrat Kaur and Veer Pahariya. He will be making his acting debut with this film. Backed by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, Sky Force is a period aerial action-thriller.

For the uninitiated, Sky Force's teaser was expected to be released along with Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 in theatres on August 15. However, with the film's release getting postponed, the makers dropped the idea.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay Kumar had three theatrical releases this year. Ali Abbas Zafar's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was Khiladi Kumar's first movie to hit the big screen this year. Following its Eid 2024 release, Akshay was seen in Sarfira with Radhika Madan. The movie was the Hindi remake of Suriya's Tamil film Soorarai Potrru.
And recently, Akshay's movie Khel Khel Mein had a theatrical release on August 15 (Independence Day). His film clashed with Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 and John Abraham's Vedaa at the box office. Kumar also made a hilarious cameo appearance in Stree 2.
