Akshay Kumar on his web series debut The End: Not satisfied with the screenplay

'Not satisfied with the screenplay': Akshay Kumar gives an update on his web series but The End

It's been three years since Akshay Kumar announced his web series debut, The End. For the uninitiated, the actor walked after setting himself on fire at the launch event of the Amazon Prime Video series. However, fans have been waiting impatiently to find out when the series will premiere. During a recent media group interaction for the promotion of Bachchhan Paandey Akshay was asked to give an update on The End.

The actor said, "We were going to start this year, but we were not satisfied with the screenplay. If Amazon was not satisfied, we are still working on it, and if everything goes well, we should start by next year’s beginning."

During the promotion of BellBottom Akshay was also asked about the series. The Sooryavanshi star had stated that he was working on the project. However, he couldn't say anything about it. The actor also revealed that the series has been written, and yes, it has taken some time. But, by 2022, he planned to launch the web series.

Meanwhile, Vikram Malhotra of Abundantia Entertainment said in 2021 that there was a show starring Akshay Kumar called The End. Depending on the situation, it will begin later this year or early next year.

Currently, Akshay is neck-deep in work with the promotions of Bachchhan Paandey which features the actor in the titular role. In the Farhad Samji directorial, the star will be seen as a dreaded gangster. Bachchhan Paandey also features Arshad Warsi, Kriti Sanon, and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles.

Moreover, Akshay's upcoming film is Prithviraj a Chandraprakash Dwivedi-directed historical action drama film produced by Yash Raj Films. The film is based on the Braj Bhasha epic poem Prithviraj Raso, which tells the story of Prithviraj Chauhan, a Chahamana dynasty king. The actor plays the titular role, and Manushi Chhillar plays Sanyogita, who makes her Hindi cinema debut.

The film is set to hit the big screens on June 3, 2022.
