Akshay Kumar on Aanand L Rai's Raksha Bandhan schedule wrap: I’m leaving the set a better actor

Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar have wrapped the Mumbai schedule of Aanand L Rai's Raksha Bandhan after nearly a month and a half. The actor took to his social media pages and shared photos posing with Aanand and Bhumi. In one of the photos, the three of them are sitting on a scooter and making quirky expressions. Akshay is sporting a thin moustache and dons a simple look in the film.

While captioning the post, the actor penned a heartfelt note stating, "I’m already missing walking down these streets of Chandni Chowk. Even though it was a make-believe set…you made it look so real, take a bow @sumitbasu62."

He praised Bhumi and wrote, "My wonderful co-star @bhumipednekar, thank you for providing the right balance with your splendid talent."

On Aanand, Akshay went on to add, "And @aanandlrai sir…what can I say about you, besides that you’re a wizard and today as we wrap up the Mumbai schedule of #RakshaBandhan, I know I’m leaving the set a better actor."

Raksha Bandhan is penned by Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon and also features Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb and Smrithi Srikanth who will be seen as Akshay's sisters.

Whereas Zee Studios, Colour Yellow Productions and Cape of Good Films are producing the much-anticipated films.

This is Akshay and Aanand's second outing after Atrangi Re which is yet to be released. The actor signed and announced Raksha Bandhan about a year back on August 3, 2020, on the occasion of the festival of the same name.

He had shared a teaser poster and wrote, "Hardly ever in life does one come across a story that touches your heart so deeply and so instantly...it’s the quickest I’ve signed a film in my career."
