Akshay Kumar has finally reacted to reports of him returning as an ambassador of a pan masala brand. The actor issued a clarification on X.
In the past, Akshay Kumar had apologised for endorsing a pan masala brand. The Bollywood actor, however, received criticism again after he appeared in an advertisement for the same brand. For the unversed, ads of the pan masala brand, featuring Akshay, Shah Rukh Khan, and Ajay Devgn, were aired during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 match.
This led to people assuming that Akshay had continued his association with the brand. However, the Mission Raniganj actor has issued a clarification amid backlash.
Akshay Kumar issues clarification
Akshay Kumar reacted to a report claiming that he had returned as an ambassador for a pan masala brand. The actor issued a clarification on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.

"These ads were shot on 13th October, 2021. I have not had anything to do with the brand ever since I publicly announced the discontinuation of the endorsement. They can legally run the already shot ads till the end of next month. Chill and do some real news (sic)," a part of his tweet read.

On the work front for Akshay Kumar
Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay was recently seen in Mission Raniganj. The actor played the role of Jaswant Singh Gill in the film. He reunited with Parineeti Chopra for Tinu Suresh Desai's directorial. It clashed with Bhumi Pednekar's Thank You For Coming at the box office.
Next, Khiladi Kumar has Soorarai Pottru's Hindi remake with Radhika Madan lined up. The actor will be reuniting with Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty for Hera Pheri 3. Akshay also returns with the new installment of Welcome. It is titled Welcome To The Jungle.
