As mentioned earlier, Akshay Kumar has renounced his Canadian passport.
For a very long time, one of the major reasons Akshay Kumar has been called out on the Internet has been for holding a Canadian passport. The actor has always maintained that "India is everything" for him and his films based on India and social issues also do the talking. However, after constant trolls and discussion on the Internet, Akshay got his Indian citizenship back, and on the occasion of Independence Day, he made the announcement on his social media pages.
The actor shared a photo of the documentation as proof and wrote, "Dil aur citizenship, dono Hindustani. Happy Independence Day! Jai Hind!"

My friend said, 'Go back and start working again'. I got some more films, and I kept getting more work. I forgot that I had the passport. I never thought that I should get this passport changed, but now yes, I have applied to get my passport changed, and once I get the renounced status from Canada..."
