Akanksha Puri appears to be enjoying life after winning the reality competition Swayamvar: Mika Di Vohti and Mika Singh selected her as their future spouse. The actress is relishing the dating stage of her relationship with Mika and has no immediate plans to tie the knot.

She recently expressed some dissatisfaction while speaking with the media when she was asked about her upcoming nuptials to Mika. The actress questioned why people couldn't just see her in a dating period and just want her to be married.

She said, "I don’t know why people don’t want to see me in a dating phase. They just want to see me get married. Why can’t I date, romance someone and enjoy the phase? I want to enjoy the courtship period with Mikaji. I have missed it a lot as I’ve been single for a long time and I want to enjoy the dating phase. Thoda romance ho life mein toh mazaa aata hai (There should be some romance in life; it is enjoyable)."

Akanksha continued by expressing her happiness at being with Mika and remarking on how comfortable they are together. She said, "We are currently at a very mature stage in our lives."

Additionally, Akanksha said that it takes a lot of time when someone has been friends for 13 years and is moving from friendship to romance. She also mentioned how they don't behave like school kids by going on coffee dates and exchanging teddy bears. In addition, Akanksha added, "I am glad that I am with Mikaji as we are very comfortable with each other."

On being questioned whether she intended to compete in Bigg Boss 16 alongside Mika, Akanksha responded, "I have just won a reality show, so I want to just enjoy that phase. I don’t know if Mika ji has been offered to be on Bigg Boss. I have won a show recently and won many other things with it, so I just want to live that moment. "
