The actor's next, Thunivu, is hitting the screens across the world on January 12
Ajith and Vignesh Shivan
Even as fans of Ajith are looking forward to the grand release of Thunivu which is hitting the screens on January 12, they are elated with the news doing the rounds with regard to the actor's next outing, which has been tentatively titled AK 62.
Vignesh Shivan will be helming the movie which has Anirudh on board as its composer. The latter is associated with an Ajith-starrer for the third time after Vedalam and Vivegam. Lyca Productions is bankrolling the project, and the official news of the movie was let out earlier this year.
In a recent media interaction, Vignesh revealed that in AK 62, he has the freedom to do the kind of film he wants to, and that he is completely free of pressure. The film is his first big ticket project, and fans are curious to know how he is going to present a mass hero like Ajith.
According to a report in TOI, the team is in talks with Arvind Swami to play the antagonist's role in it. The Roja actor was initially said to join hands with Ajith in Valimai, but it didn't materialize. It looks like the two are now set to share the screen space. They were earlier seen together in Paasamalargal.
Santhanam is another actor who is said to be part of AK 62. The actor has been taking up only hero-oriented projects in the last few years. He teamed up with Ajith previously in Veeram. Movie buffs are curious to know if the actor would play a comedian's role, something on the lines of what he used to do till the last decade.
George C Williams is likely to be cranking the camera for the movie which is expected to go on floors soon.
