If the buzz is to be believed, the trailer of Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan is all set to screened during the two Pongal festival releases, Ajith's Thunivu and Vijay's Varisu. Both films released amid much fanfare today and have been receiving positive reviews from the audience. While the FDFS of Thunivu was held at 1am, Varisu had its FDFS at 4am across the state. Fans left no stone unturned to celebrate the big occasion where the films of Ajith and Vijay were clashing with each other after 8 long years. The last time they took on each other was during Veeram and Jilla in 2014.
In the meantime, the news about Pathaan trailer being screened during the film has come as suprise news for fans of both actors. However, there has been official confirmation about the same. It is to be noted that Vijay had released the trailer of the Tamil version of the film, directed by Siddharth Anand. Shah Rukh Khan had thanked Vijay for the gesture and written on his social media handle, "Thank you my friend @actorvijay You are Thalapathy for this humble reason, let's meet for delicious feast soon. Mikka Nandri Nanba! Idhanala Dhaan Neenga Thalapathy koodiya viraivil oru arumaiyana virunthil santhipom. Love you (sic).
Shah Rukh had earlier dropped the trailer of the film in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu with the caption, "Shah Rukh Khan shared the trailer of the film in all the versions and wrote on Twitter, “Right vs Wrong, Good vs Evil – they are two sides of the same coin. Experience the epic clash of two brutal forces in #PathaanTrailer now (sic)!"
Pathaan is all set to hit screens on January 25th on the Republic Day week. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role, along with Deepika Padukone, John Abraham and Dimple Kapadia. The plot revolves around a group's mission against the country and where Pathaan is brought to take them down. The film is considered as a treat for Shah Rukh fans.
